School-Age Room

In our School Age Room, we provide a safe, welcoming place for children to relax, connect with friends, and continue learning outside of the school day. Through a balance of structured activities and free-choice time, children are encouraged to build independence, confidence, and strong social-emotional skills.

A place to learn, connect, unwind,
and just be a kid!

School-age children need a place where they can recharge after a busy school day while still having opportunities to learn, grow, and connect. Our School Age Room provides a balance of guided activities, creative exploration, active play, and time with friends—all in a supportive environment where children can make choices and develop greater independence.

Some of our daily activities may include:

  • Homework and quiet-time support

  • Arts, crafts, and creative projects

  • Games and group activities

  • STEM and hands-on learning experiences

  • Outdoor play and physical activity, weather permitting

  • Reading and quiet activities

  • Free-choice time and opportunities to socialize with friends

Growing Independence

As children grow, so does their need for independence and choice. Our teachers provide guidance and support while giving school-age children opportunities to make decisions, explore their own interests, solve problems, take responsibility, and build positive relationships with their peers. We want children to feel that this is their space—a place where they feel comfortable, included, and excited to spend time.
