Pre-Kindergarten Room

4/5 year olds

In the Pre-K Room we focus on kindergarten readiness and our goal is to make learning fun. Each day consists of a variety of activities including:

• Circle time (assignment of daily jobs, discussion of the morning schedule and learning opportunities)

• Art

• Table activities (sensory, math, science)

• Story time

• Outdoor play (walks, playground) weather permitting.

 

We work on learning early literacy by covering all aspects of the alphabet.

 

We are licensed to care for 16 pre-kindergarteners from ages 4.5 to 5 years. The staff in the Pre-K Room consists of a combination of lead teachers, assistant teachers and aides. The room is always staffed with a minimum ratio of one staff member per ten children.
